You have arrived. You probably feel excited, tired, and are asking yourself what to do first.
Do not try to solve everything on day one. Start with the basics.
Work out how to get to school
Do the journey before your first day if you can. Find out how long it takes and what your alternatives are.
Sort out your phone
Having internet makes almost everything easier: maps, transport, messages, payments and staying in touch with family. Check whether an eSIM makes sense at first, or a local plan.
Learn the transport
See whether there is a card, a weekly or monthly pass, or a student discount. It can make a real difference to your budget.
Find out where to buy food
Get to know the nearby supermarkets and compare prices. Eating out every day empties a budget fast.
Get to know the school
On day one, find out who to ask about classes, accommodation and admin questions.
And one important thing: talk
You will make mistakes. That is fine. You travelled precisely to use the language, so start on day one. The person at the coffee shop, a classmate or someone waiting for the bus may end up being part of how you learn.
Still choosing your school?
Tell us the course, the destination and the budget you are looking for. Accredited schools can send you offers to compare. You compare, and you choose.
