PreparingWhat should you pack?
Less than you think. You are going to a city where people already live.

The most important answer is: less than you think. You are going to a city where other people live normally, and almost anything you need can be bought there.
The essentials
Take your documents and anything that would be hard to replace quickly: passport, school documents, cards, necessary medicines, glasses or lenses, important electronics, chargers and adapters.
Check the weather
Do not pack for the country. Check what the weather is like in that city, in the months you will be there.
Do not take your whole home
On a long stay you will do laundry, so you do not need an outfit for every day of the trip.
Medicines deserve attention
Entry rules vary by country. Before travelling with medicines, especially prescription ones, check the requirements of your destination.
Leave some space
You will probably buy something while you are there, and there is a good chance you come back with more than you took.
Your luggage should help you travel, not become another thing to worry about.
